QTUG™ 2.2.1 is released - upgrade now!

Download QTUG™ 2.2.1

If you have received an email from Kinesis with username and password then use these details to download QTUG™ 2.2.1 from the link on this page.

If you haven't previously received a password or any email from us, please contact us through the support page.

After you have downloaded the file, please follow the steps below.

Upgrading to QTUG™ 2.2.1

  1. Connect the tablet to a Wi-Fi connection

    1. Go to "Apps" (bottom right of home screen)
    2. Select "Settings" (2nd page)
    3. Select "Wi-Fi" (under Wireless and networks heading)
    4. Select the appropriate connection and enter password if necessary
  2. Backup patient data if any data exists (precautionary measure only)

    1. Launch QTUG™ (existing version)
    2. Go to "Settings" (top right of screen)
    3. Tick "Enable Remote Backup"
    4. Tap on "Backup" (if you follow steps above this will create both a local and remote backup)
    5. Exit QTUG™
    6. To make a copy of your local backup, connect your tablet to your PC via USB cable. It will show as SM-T230 or equivalent.
    7. In file explorer on your PC, click on your Tablet, then Kinesis, QTUG, then copy the Backup directory to your PC.
  3. Download the new version of QTUG™

    1. Go to "Apps" (bottom right of home screen)
    2. Select "Chrome" to open up a browser
    3. Go to kinesis.ie/qtug-upgrade and tap on "Download QTUG™ 2.2.1! at top of the page."
    4. Use your requested username and password to gain access to start download"
    5. You will see a download arrow flashing in the top left of your screen. This will stop flashing when download complete.
  4. Install the new version of QTUG™

    1. Swipe down from the top of the page to install downloaded file
    2. Select "qtug_v2.2.1.apk" (under Notifications)
    3. Select "Settings" on "Install Blocked" window
    4. Tick "Unknown Sources" and select "OK"
    5. Select ("Next" then) "Install" when window appears
    6. Select "Open" when installation is complete
    7. Tap on QTUG™ logo (top left of screen) in order to display QTUG™ version information
    8. Verify you have installed Software version: 2.2.1
  5. Access previously collected patient data

    1. To ensure you can access previous data, open the new version of QTUG and enter a known patient ID and press submit. You should be able to access 'previous tests' on top right of your screen.
  6. Do NOT perform a Restore

    1. There should be no need to do a restore of patient data, the upgrade process should keep all data intact, contact customer support if required
