Kinesis Gait™ 1.1 is released - upgrade now!

If you have received an email from Kinesis with username and password then use these details to download Kinesis Gait™ 1.1 from the link on this page.

If you haven't previously received a password or any email from us, please contact us through the support page.

After you have downloaded the file, please follow the steps below.

Download Kinesis Gait™ 1.1!

Upgrading to Kinesis Gait™ 1.1

  1. Connect the tablet to a Wi-Fi connection

    1. Go to "Apps" (bottom right of home screen)
    2. Select "Settings" (2nd page)
    3. Select "Wi-Fi" (under Wireless and networks heading)
    4. Select the appropriate connection and enter password if necessary

  2. Backup patient data if any data exists (precautionary measure only)

    1. Launch Kinesis Gait™ (existing version)
    2. Go to "Settings" (cog in top right of screen)
    3. Untick "Enable Remote Backup"
    4. Tap on "Backup" (this will create a local backup)
    5. Tick "Enable Remote Backup" (important for future backups)
    6. Exit Kinesis Gait™

      7. NOTE: If you wish to make a copy of your local backup, connect your tablet to your PC via USB cable.
      It will show as SM-T230 or equivalent. In file explorer on your PC click on your Tablet then Kinesis then Kinesis Gait.
      Now copy the Backup directory to your PC.

  3. Download the new version of Kinesis Gait™

    1. Go to "Apps" (bottom right of home screen)
    2. Select "Chrome" to open up a browser
    3. Go to kinesis.ie/gait-upgrade and tap on "Download Kinesis Gait™ 1.1! at top of the page."
    4. Use the username and password provided by Kinesis to start the download"
    5. You will see a download arrow flashing in the top left of your screen. This will stop flashing when download complete.

  4. Install the new version of Kinesis Gait™

    1. Swipe down from the top of the page to install downloaded file
    2. Select "gait_v1.1.apk" (under Notifications)
    3. Select "Settings" on "Install Blocked" window
    4. Tick "Unknown Sources" and select "OK"
    5. Select ("Next" then) "Install" when window appears
    6. Select "Open" when installation is complete
    7. Tap on Kinesis Gait™ logo (top left of screen) in order to display Kinesis Gait™ version information
    8. Verify you have installed Software version: 1.1

  5. Access previously collected patient data

    1. To ensure you can access previous data, open the new version of Kinesis Gait and enter a known patient ID and press submit.
    2. You should be able to access 'previous tests' on top right of your screen.
    3. If you can see previous results, you have validated a successful installation!
    4. If not please contact us through the support page.
